management background and is the founder of two successful new-concept companies –
Teradata and HyperParallel.
As a visionary leader who motivates and builds highly effective teams, Jerry has an impressive record of achievements in creating and growing startup companies in the technology industry. Teradata, which Jerry co-founded, pioneered relational database computer systems. Teradata (NYSE: TDC) was acquired by AT&T in 1992, and subsequently spun-out in 2007, and currently has sales of $1.7 billion. In 1994, he founded and led HyperParallel, which developed and sold high-performance business intelligence software; HyperParallel was acquired by Yahoo in 1999. Previously, Jerry started at Citicorp, where he was involved with the introduction of the first ATM machines.
