Private-Public Partnership
Under a 15-20 year power provider agreement (PPA), we install and operate solar facilities on school properties
with a nominal lease.
The solar installations are designed to produce excess power that is sold back to the utility under
a separate PPA.
After investor distribution, of the remaining net revenue, a significant portion is put into a
not-for-profit fund from which participating schools can draw upon to fund local educational programs.
School Powers.org
is an opportunity for schools to convert to renewable solar energy without spending any monies from their budgets.
As a renewable energy partner, every school participates in sharing revenue from the sale of excess energy using
solar photovoltaic systems. The initiative is a unique private - public sector partnership where investors fund power
from solar energy using school buildings to produce climate neutral electricity and through revenue sharing,
fund educational programs. It is also a catalyst to educate our youngest citizens on the problems associated with climate
change and programs for a sustainable energy future.
